The immediate-type allergic reaction is involved in many allergic diseases such as asthma and allergic rhinitis. The discovery of drugs for the treatment of immediate-type allergic diseases is a very important subject in human health.
即時型アレルギー反応は喘息やアレルギー性鼻炎などの多くのアレルギー性疾患に関係している。即時型アレルギー 疾患治療薬の発見はヒトの健康において極めて重要な課題である。

In this study, we investigated the effect of Artemisia iwayomogi (AIAE) on mast cell-mediated allergic reaction and inflammatory cytokine secretion. AIAE inhibited compound 48/80-induced systemic reactions in mice.
本研究で、肥満細胞媒介性アレルギー反応および炎症性サイトカイン分泌へのイワヨモギ（Artemisia iwayomogi）の作用を研究した。イワヨモギはcompound 48/80で誘発されたマウスの全身性の痒み反応を抑制した。

AIAE decreased the passive cutaneous anaphylaxis (PCA) reaction activated by antidinitrophenyl (anti-DNP) IgE antibody. AIAE dose-dependently reduced histamine release from rat peritoneal mast cells activated by compound 48/80 or anti-DNP IgE.
イワヨモギはanti-DNPの薬物抗体に活性化された受身皮膚アナフィラキシー反応を減少させた。ヨモギ容量依存によりcompound 48/80（痒み誘発剤）またはanti-DNPの薬物抗体によって活性された腹腔肥満細胞からのヒスタミン放出を減少させた。

さらに、イワヨモギは、ヒトの肥満細胞においてPhorbol-12-myristate-13-acetate（腫瘍プロもター）プラスカルシウムイオノフA23187に刺激された腫瘍壊死因子αおよびインターロイキン6分泌を弱めた。

ヨモギ蒸しはアトピー・アレルギー性鼻炎に効果があると出ていました。ヨモギのこうような効果に対しての文献がないのかと調べていたらヨモギ属の仲間のイワヨモギの文献に出会いました。推測ですがアレルギー疾患であるアトピー性皮膚炎などにイワヨモギと同じ仲間のヨモギは有益であるとおもいます。
