Various sensors that respond to physical or chemical environmental factors have been identified in the peripheral nervous system. Some of them, which respond to mechanical stress, osmotic pressure, temperature and chemical stimuli (such as pH), are also expressed in epidermal keratinocytes. Neurotransmitters and their receptors, as well as receptors that regulate the neuroendocrine system of the skin, are also present in keratinocytes.

物理的ないし化学的環境要因に応答するさまざまなセンサーは末梢神経系で識別された。また、メカニカルストレス、浸透圧、温度および化学的刺激（PHなど）に応答するそれらの一部は表皮角化細胞（ケラチノサイト）に発現する。神経伝達物質とそれらのレセプターと同様に皮膚の神経内分泌系を調節するレセプターも表皮角化細胞（ケラチノサイト）に存在する。

Thus, broadly speaking, epidermal keratinocytes appear to be equipped with sensing systems similar to those of the peripheral and central nervous systems. It had long been considered that only nerve C-terminals in the epidermis play a role in skin surface perception.

このように、大まかに言って、表皮角化細胞（ケラチノサイト）には、末梢および中枢神経系のそれらと類似の感覚系が備わっているように思われる。皮膚の神経C末端だけが表皮の知覚で役割を果たすと長い間考えられていた。

However, building on earlier work on skin receptors and new findings introduced here, we present in this review a novel hypothesis of skin sensory perception, i.e. first, keratinocytes recognize various environmental factors, and then the information is processed and conveyed to the nervous system.

しかし、ここで紹介した皮膚受容体および新知見に関する初期の論文に基づき構築、皮膚感覚認知の新仮説をこのレビューで提示する。すなわち最初に、表皮角化細胞（ケラチノサイト）はさまざまな環境要因を認識して、情報は処理されて、神経系に伝達される。

３．殺菌剤である抗菌ペプチドおよび、ランゲルハウス細胞を増やしてバリア構築

皮膚の三つの防御機能は、常に角層バリアの状態をモニターしながら機能を調節しているのです。角層の状態は皮膚からの水の蒸散量をはかって対応しています。

考えたこと

この防御機能を勉強することによって皮膚疾患がどの部分が欠けているのかを理解することによってそれを補う精油の成分やキャリアオイルの特性を理解するとアロマセラピーでのトリートメントができるのではないかと思いました。また、前のブログで赤色および鎮静作用のある香りはバリア機能の恒常性に役だつと出ていました。
