abstract;We have been researching the functionality of essential oils and aroma chemicals on 17.BETA.-estradiol, the female sex hormone. As a result of screening tests, we found that Ambrette seed oil and some macrocyclic musks (Ambrettolide, Muscone, and Civetone) stimulate the secretion of 17.BETA.-estradiol. We also found that the secretion was stimulated only on females (age from 20's to 50's) but not on males. By combining Ambrette seed oil and some macrocyclic musks, we came up with "FE Aroma" (feminine energy aroma) that can stimulate the secretion of the female sex hormone and developed the new fragrance "L'eau de KASANEKA" which will be on the market this year.

女性ホルモン、17β-エストラジオール関する精油の機能および芳香化学成分を研究してきた。アンブレットシード精油および一部の大環状ムスク（アンブレットライド、ムスコン、いよびシベトン）が17β-エストラジオールの分泌を促進することを解明した。分泌は女性（20才代から 50才代）だけに刺激されたが男性には起きなかった。
アンブレットシードオイルと一部の大環状ムスクのブレンドによって、女性ホルモン分泌を刺激することができる「FE Aroma」（女性エネルギー芳香）を考えついて、今年発売する新香水"L'eau de KASANEKA"(ロー・ド・カサネカ＝重ね香)を開発した。

17.BETA.-estradiol　17βエストラジオール
哺乳類に普通にみられる卵胞ホルモンのうち最も有効なもの、卵巣、胎盤、精巣、おそらく副腎皮質でも生成される。エストラジオールは月経異常、閉経障害などの治療に用いられる。（ステッドマン医学大辞典より）
